Radial and circumferential cracks are evident across the cut surface. The perimeter of the stump retains fragmented, dark, heavily cracked bark, and minor green organic growth. To the upper right of the main stump, a smaller, lighter-toned piece of wood, exhibiting vertical grain, protrudes from the ground. The surrounding reddish-brown soil is sparsely covered with dry, straw-colored grass, scattered brown and reddish-brown deciduous leaves, and intermittent small patches of green herbaceous growth. No animate subjects or human-made objects are visible within the frame.
