A rough, dark grey stone wall occupies the left half of the frame, extending from the bottom edge upwards and receding into the background. The wall appears to have some indentations or holes. To the right of the wall is a narrow white building, the side of which is visible. Attached to the building is a light blue downspout and some electrical conduits and an air conditioning unit. The alleyway itself is paved with rectangular grey bricks laid in a herringbone pattern and extends into the distance, narrowing to a vanishing point. The ground is illuminated by overhead streetlights, one of which is prominently bright in the upper right quadrant of the image. To the right of the alley, a fence with white pillars and green metal railings separates the alley from adjacent properties. Vegetation can be seen growing in patches along the base of the white building and between the brick pavers. The overall scene depicts a dimly lit urban passage.
