The image presents an exposed earthen embankment situated above a paved edge in Vratsa, Bulgaria. In the immediate foreground, a grey concrete curb runs horizontally across the bottom. Directly above the curb, piles of construction aggregate are visible: a mound of mixed light-colored stones and gravel on the left, and a pile of fine, light beige sand on the right. The dominant feature is the steep, approximately vertical, wall of reddish-brown cohesive soil, displaying uneven texture and embedded smaller aggregates. Horizontal stratification is evident within the soil layers. Sparse vegetative growth, including green patches and exposed roots, is present along the upper edge of the embankment. Several pieces of refuse are embedded or resting on the soil surface, notably a short, partially obscured red and white striped plastic strip in the upper-mid left, and a longer, curved white plastic strip in the lower-mid right. Towards the top-center, intertwined with tree roots, are tangled fragments of blue and green netting. No human figures, animals, or active interactions are present in the scene. The overall environment suggests recent ground disturbance, possibly due to excavation or natural erosion.
